As the time of night turned into a state of pre-morning, the skies became a sickly, reddish gray color. Clouds swirled menacingly in violent circles about the Heaven and Hell Gorge; winds too fast to track blew bit of rusted debris around like schoolyard bullies and kindergartners. The last of the stars blinked out, flickering a few times before being struck down. A slender shadow sat on the edge of the gorge, her legs dangling over the edge, her dark eyes cast upward. She watched the stars and let the celerital breeze buffet her hot skin. This early morning, she got to watch them die. A devious smile glittered on her face. It smelled like rain; in the distance she could hear it pelting off the stones of the gorge. It was coming fast, but she was in no position to move. She didn't feel like it. Too bad for the turbulent weather, she wouldn't succumb to its strength like the little ones. Nope. The grin dissapating, Akira diverts her gaze into the crack in the earth. She heard specterly wails and her eyes ran over the shimmering forms of ghosts; maybe it was only an illusion, to convince her the ancient myth was true? She shook her head, but couldn't tear her eyes away. She watched, enticed, as the lichs wove between each other, singing in a language strange to Akira's ears. Or maybe she couldn't hear them. Mist trickled up underneath their feet and eddied around their dancing wisps of bodies. Her eyes were riveted.

Sasuke had followed akira into hells gorge. He was shocked at what she found, the rumors were true.
"Akira, get out of there now!" Sasuke shouted towards her. He grabbed her by the sholder and pulled her towards him.
"Comon lets go." He said actually showing concern for his old comrade. He knew she would hold it against him forever but he had feelings for all his old friends. She was a old friend.

Akira barely noticed when she was roughly dragged away from the edge of the gorge. Her Sharingan had started on its own and was spinning in a strange pattern, making it look like she was hypnotised. She frowned, oblivious. "No..." she began quietly, waving her hand vaguely at the dancing ghosts. "they are saying something." But, despite her words, she didn't shrug Sasuke off. It began to rain a bit. The cold, wet seemed to wake Akira up. She blinked and looked around. "What do you want?" she asked with a frown. The ghosts had gone, but it seemed as though they had been replaced by the storm.

"I was trying to save your d**n life... those are the spirits of the dead shinobi that have fallen here over the past centuries... that song, is the calling. It is rumored it is the way they add to their army. They had chose you to join them... in hell." Sasuke took his hand off of her sholder.
"You ok Akira?" He asked calmly regaining his cold attitude slowly but surely. She would probably not let him live down the fact that he had actually acted to save her.... that he actually cared about her in the least.

Akira frowned, confused. "What are you talking about? I'm fine." She looked behind her. "Why would you care about who gets chosen to leave their life or not?" One of her eyebrows was raised quizzically, almost in disgust. Maybe I want to join them. She cast another careful look into the gorge. There weren't any specters to be seen. She shrugged and turned around. "What are you following me around for anyway?" she asked, brushing past him to stand under a nearby tree. She just remembered she abhorred the rain.

"It was nesscary to see if you were working with him. I care because we were comrades. That means nothing to you though." Sasuke said coldly. He looked at her with his dark eyes, his eyes peirced hers.
"We are of the same clan, and I have fought beside you akira, Im not going to let you die so easily." Sasuke said with a cold smile.

Akira stared back at Sasuke, her back leaned against the tree. "Why would I work for Itachi?" She shook her head. "He is no Uchiha." For a moment, she listened to the rain on the shriveled leaves. Biting her lip, she looked at him again. "I can take care of myself. I should think you wouldn't be too happy if I did likewise for you," she pointed out, dismissing the subject with a dusting of her front. This left her to think, so she did. She thought about her encounter with Madara, Cloud and Daimon Uchiha. She let out a slow breath. Neither are they Uchiha.

"Comrades protect each other, You are not weak, those who are weak are not my comrades." Sasuke said putting his hand on akiras sholder. "There are few uchihas left... Perhaps we are the last of them. Perhaps the uchiha clan dies with me and you." Sasuke said coldly, the wind blew through his raven hair. His sharengun appeared in his eyes. His eyes hit hers.

"Then it does," Akira stated simply, staring stongly back at Sasuke. "I could care less. At least I'll be freed of my lineage." What is he doing? she though as she watched his Sharingan. Trying to hypnotise me? Hmph.
